Dulux has announced ‘Soulful Sage’ as its Colour of the Year 2027, introducing a soft, silvery green designed to bring calm, freshness and a stronger connection to nature into the home.
The new shade reflects Dulux’s wider 2027 theme, ‘Live Lightly’. The concept focuses on creating interiors that feel restful and uplifting in response to busy lifestyles and information overload.
According to Dulux Creative Director and Colour Expert Marianne Shillingford, Soulful Sage offers a sense of lightness while maintaining a reassuring link with the natural world.
Three Colour Stories for 2027
Soulful Sage forms the centre of three new Dulux colour collections: Glow, Light and Lift. Each palette offers a different way to use the shade in interiors.
Glow combines Soulful Sage with warm earth tones such as clay, terracotta and brown. The palette also introduces lilac accents to create a cosy and welcoming atmosphere.
Light takes a quieter approach. It pairs Soulful Sage with pale browns, greys and blues, along with deeper shades. The result is a simple and restorative look.
Lift brings more energy to the colour. It combines Soulful Sage with ochres, soft pinks and other brighter tones to create a joyful and optimistic interior.
