Epson Unveils Monna Lisa ML-18000: A High-Speed, Sustainable Textile Printing Powerhouse
Bengaluru, 19 June 2025 – Epson, the global leader in digital printing technology, has launched the Monna Lisa ML-18000, the latest model in its prestigious Monna Lisa digital textile printer series. Designed for high-volume production and next-gen efficiency, this cutting-edge printer delivers high-speed, high-resolution, and eco-conscious printing solutions that align with the evolving demands of the global textile and fashion sectors.
In response to the increasing industry shift toward digital transformation and environmental responsibility, the ML-18000 boasts superior output speeds, deeper color density, and a host of smart, sustainable innovations. Central to its performance are 18 Epson PrecisionCore MicroTFP printheads, offering print speeds up to 252 sqm/h (in 2-pass mode at 600×600 dpi), all while maintaining remarkable quality.
The introduction of a double black ink system significantly enhances black depth and richness, making it perfect for producing vibrant, high-contrast prints across a range of applications—including fashion, home décor, and signage. This efficiency also translates into improved cost performance for dark and monochrome designs.
Sustainability-Driven Innovation
Epson reinforces its commitment to sustainability through an Integrated Water Recycling Unit, which filters and reuses water from the belt cleaning process. This helps reduce water consumption and meet local wastewater regulations—ideal for eco-conscious manufacturers.
The printer utilizes GENESTA Reactive Inks, which are ECO PASSPORT and GOTS certified, ensuring safe, eco-friendly production. The ML-18000 also integrates Epson’s proprietary technologies like Precision Dot, microweave, and multi-layer halftone processing to eliminate visual defects and produce seamless gradations and details.
Engineered for Reliability & Smart Management
The dual 10-liter ink tanks, advanced auto-cleaning systems, fabric fluff blowers, RGB camera-based auto calibration, and ink mist extraction systems contribute to uninterrupted, consistent output. With Epson Cloud Solution PORT, users can monitor machine performance in real time from any connected device, maximizing productivity and remote serviceability.
The ML-18000 supports a variety of fabric types—from silk and cotton to polyester and blends—making it ideal for haute couture, fast fashion, home furnishings, and sportswear.
Satyajeet Satpathy, Director – Sales & Marketing, Epson India, remarked, “The ML-18000 brings the power of precision, speed, and sustainability to the textile industry. With smart ink use, automated maintenance, and green innovation, it enables manufacturers to meet demand while embracing responsible production.”
