Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has commenced construction of a dedicated automotive logistics hub in Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), Dubai, as part of its strategy to strengthen industry-focused operations and expand its global logistics network.
The new facility is intended to support the growing operational requirements of Hellmann’s automotive customers in the region while creating additional capacity for future expansion. The company stated that the investment aligns with the growth of the automotive logistics market in the Middle East, which is projected to expand by approximately 4–6% annually through 2030.
Located in the UAE, a major logistics gateway connecting Europe, Asia and Africa, the facility is designed to leverage the region’s multimodal transport infrastructure and connectivity.
The built-to-suit logistics center is being developed by INDU Logistics, part of INDU Group, and will function as a dedicated automotive hub within Hellmann’s Middle East network.
Covering approximately 28,000 square metres, the facility will handle a wide range of automotive spare parts logistics requirements. The site will include high-density bin storage, pallet racking systems and dedicated handling areas for oversized and bulky components. The infrastructure is designed to support high-volume distribution operations across GCC countries, Africa and selected international markets.
Commenting on the project, Lee I’Ons, Regional CEO IMEA, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, said:
“The UAE is a strategically important market within our global network. By establishing this dedicated automotive hub in Jafza, we are systematically expanding our regional capabilities and creating further scalable, industry-focused infrastructure. This enables us to deliver competitive, high-performance logistics solutions for our customers and to support their long-term growth.”
Abdulla Al Hashmi, Global Chief Operating Officer, Parks and Economic Zones, DP World, added:
“Hellman’s investment in Jebel Ali Free Zone reflects the rapid pace at which the automotive industry is growing in the Middle East, with customers looking for faster, more reliable access to critical spare parts across multiple markets. By continuing to build specialized infrastructure in Dubai, we are supporting our partners in managing uncertainty and keeping their operations moving.”
The project represents another step in Hellmann’s efforts to expand its automotive logistics capabilities and strengthen its presence in strategically important global markets.
