Intex & InMac Sri Lanka 2026 to Strengthen Apparel Industry Growth
Largest edition of the co-located exhibitions to support Sri Lanka’s US$8 billion apparel export target by 2030
Sri Lanka’s textile and apparel industry is set to welcome the return of Intex – The Premier International Textile Sourcing Show and the co-located InMac – Smart Technology & Innovation in Gar-Tex Machinery from 5–7 August 2026 at BMICH, Colombo. The twin exhibitions aim to support the country’s goal of achieving US$8 billion in apparel exports by 2030 by bringing together global textile sourcing and advanced garment manufacturing technologies on a single platform.
The 2026 edition will be the largest to date, featuring more than 300 international companies from over 15 countries and regions. The exhibitions will offer manufacturers, buyers and suppliers access to the complete textile and apparel value chain—from raw materials and sustainable textiles to intelligent manufacturing solutions.
Intex Sri Lanka 2026 will present innovations in fibres, yarns, fabrics, trims, accessories and sustainable materials, providing sourcing opportunities for buyers from South Asia, ASEAN, Europe and the Middle East.
Running alongside the sourcing exhibition, InMac Sri Lanka 2026 will showcase the latest garment manufacturing technologies, including advanced sewing, cutting, digital printing and environmentally friendly finishing systems. The exhibition is designed to help apparel manufacturers accelerate automation, improve efficiency and transition towards smart manufacturing.
According to Mrs. Arti Bhagat, Executive Director of Worldex India, the strong international participation highlights growing confidence in Sri Lanka’s textile industry.
She noted that the event’s largest-ever China Pavilion, together with significant participation from India, reflects increasing global interest in the country’s apparel sector. By combining international textile sourcing with advanced manufacturing technologies, Intex and InMac aim to support Sri Lanka’s long-term export ambitions.
Alongside the exhibitions, visitors can participate in the Interactive Business Forum (IBF) Seminars, where industry experts will discuss key topics including circularity, sustainability, digital transformation and smart manufacturing. Dedicated B2B meetings will also facilitate networking between domestic manufacturers and international buyers.
