Karl Mayer will showcase new textile machinery and manufacturing technologies at its Changzhou facility in China during ITMA Asia 2026. The event will run from 19 to 21 November and on 23 November 2026.

The programme will feature new developments in warp knitting, warp preparation and technical textiles. Visitors can watch live machine demonstrations and discuss production challenges with company specialists.

New Warp Knitting Machines

Karl Mayer will present several warp knitting technologies for apparel and performance textiles. The HKS 4-S EL machine will demonstrate high-speed production of fine fabrics for lingerie, sportswear and athleisure.

The company will also showcase the Rascheltronic RJ 4/2 EL. It supports versatile fabric patterns for functional lingerie and performance sportswear.

An upgraded TM Weft machine will feature electronic pattern control and intelligent yarn tension management. These functions aim to improve fabric quality and expand textile applications.

New Machines for Footwear and Technical Textiles

Two double-raschel machines will make their public world premieres. The RDJ 7/3 supports complex designs, functional zones and three-dimensional surface effects. The RDJ 6/2 targets fine spacer fabrics for knitted footwear.

Karl Mayer will also introduce a composite machine for producing biaxial non-crimp fabrics. The technology is designed for technical textile manufacturers, including suppliers to the wind energy sector.

Textile Innovation Centre Showcases New Fabrics

The company’s Textile Innovation Center will present textile developments across approximately 480 square metres. The display will cover athleisure, sportswear, shoe uppers, lace, home textiles and technical textiles.

Visitors can also explore products made from natural fibres and knitted fabrics with woven-like appearances.

Technical workshops and individual consultations will address production efficiency, small-batch manufacturing, product development and sustainability. These sessions will help manufacturers assess new production opportunities.

The Changzhou event will complement Karl Mayer’s exhibition in Shanghai. ITMA Asia + CITME 2026 will take place from 20 to 24 November.
