June St. George Unveils Kintsugi-Inspired Rug Collection

Raleigh, N.C. – Luxury rug brand June St. George has launched a powerful new collection titled Kintsugi, inspired by the traditional Japanese art form that repairs broken pottery with gold, celebrating flaws as part of an object’s history. This launch not only introduces a fresh design aesthetic but also delivers a personal narrative of resilience and gratitude.

The brand’s founder and designer Ally-Catherine Trenary created the Kintsugi collection as a heartfelt tribute to the strength of community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, her father gave away handcrafted Kintsugi ceramics to those who supported their family—symbols of enduring strength and connection. This sentiment now takes shape in textiles, with rugs that reflect the golden cracks and fragmented patterns of Kintsugi, reimagined through bold and modern compositions.

Each rug is not just a product of craftsmanship but a narrative of personal healing and tribute, encouraging buyers to connect emotionally with their decor or gift it as a symbol of meaning.

Alongside the Kintsugi collection, June St. George has also launched the Asheville Rug in soft gray and green tones. Hand-woven from New Zealand wool, it brings together texture, warmth, and subtle color contrasts—ideal for elegant, tranquil interiors.

Trenary’s aesthetic continues to be influenced by her global travels and her studies in London. The brand itself is a reflection of her passions—named in honor of St. George (London’s patron saint) and her beloved dog, June Sailor Pansy.
