Lepli Chair & Armchair Expand Poltrona Frau Collection

The Lepli collection by Kensaku Oshiro grows with the introduction of two new seating designs: a chair and a compact armchair. Inspired by the female silhouette, the collection blends couture-like detailing—such as cinched “waist” proportions, top-stitched seams, and soft pin-tucks—with the refined craftsmanship of Poltrona Frau.

Developed as part of The Five Seasons Collection, the new additions complement the existing indoor and outdoor stool, bench, and pouf. The expansion reflects the brand’s philosophy of evolving strong design concepts over time, rather than creating short-lived products.

Both the chair and armchair feature a padded, gently inclined backrest that wraps around the seat, creating a welcoming, cocooning feel. The barrel-shaped monobloc base tapers elegantly where it meets the upper shell and is highlighted with a decorative leather band, giving the pieces a refined yet contemporary character.

The models can be fully upholstered in Pelle Frau leather (ColorSphere, Nest, or Soulful – Impact Less), in 100% woven fabric with a leather band, or in a refined mixed version with fabric on the seat and inner backrest and leather on the exterior. Upholstery can be monochrome or contrasted for added visual interest.

Structurally, the seat and base are crafted from birch plywood, with a Polimex and poplar plywood backrest, and padding in polyurethane foam with polyester wadding. For flexibility in modern interiors, both designs are available with fixed bases, 360° swivel-return mechanisms, or discreet integrated castors for easy mobility.
