Pepperfry appoints Shubbam Sharrma as Chief Growth Officer

Mumbai, November 5, 2024: Pepperfry, the top online retailer of furniture and home décor in India, is happy to announce that Shubbam Sharrma has been appointed as Chief Growth Officer. Having successfully led strategic growth initiatives and high-performing teams across multiple sectors, Shubbam brings more than 17 years of retail, e-commerce, and omnichannel experience to the table.

As the Chief Growth Officer of Pepperfry, Shubbam will lead the company’s expansion strategy, emphasizing client acquisition, market share expansion, and operational efficiency. His duties will include launching new categories, developing the Home Categories rapidly, and growing the B2B segment through programs like the Multi-tiered Channel Partner Program and the investigation of new B2B opportunities with Corporates and HORECA. A crucial member of Pepperfry’s executive team, Shubbam has a thorough understanding of the consumer industry and a track record of fostering disruptive innovation.

Prior to coming to Pepperfry, Shubbam was the Chief Business Officer at ImpactGuru, where he oversaw expansion into several cities and improved marketing, HR, and operations procedures. As Head of Used Cars P&L, he played a key role in making CarDekho a market leader in the retail used automobile industry. His experience as a consultant for RedSeer and KSA Technopak expanded his knowledge on how to advise traditional retail and consumer internet businesses on market expansion, digital transformation, and growth strategies. In addition to starting his career at Godrej, Shubbam is a co-founder of a direct-to-consumer fashion brand that aims to provide an affordable, contemporary alternative to ethnic apparel.

Shubbam has a B.Tech from the College of Engineering Roorkee and an MBA from IIM Lucknow. In his free time, he likes to do consumer brand research, listen to podcasts and audiobooks, and practice yoga and meditation to keep invigorated.
