Growing Influence of AI in Design
Ar. Rakesh Vasu C.S., Convenor of IIID Showcase Insider X 2026 and Hon. Secretary of IIID-HRC, highlighted the increasing impact of artificial intelligence on architecture and interior design.
He noted that AI-powered tools are helping professionals improve efficiency, accelerate design development, generate multiple design alternatives in real time, and integrate client feedback more effectively. AI is also influencing home automation technologies, including lighting systems, sanitary solutions, and smart access controls.
Vasu emphasized the growing demand for architects and interior designers in India and urged both state and central governments to increase the number of institutions offering architecture education. He also advocated introducing design awareness at the school level and proposed the establishment of a Design Excellence Centre in Telangana to strengthen the state’s design ecosystem.
Focus on Sustainability, Technology and Emerging Trends
Ar. Naveen Chalasani, Co-Convenor and Treasurer of IIID-HRC, said the exhibition will showcase innovations in sustainable design, home automation, and contemporary architectural solutions, helping professionals align with international standards.
Ar. Pallavi Anchuri, Immediate Past Chairperson of IIID-HRC, stated that the event is expected to attract architects and designers not only from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh but also from neighbouring states such as Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Odisha. A dedicated Corporate Meet will also bring together senior leaders from the trade and design sectors.

A Decade of Design Excellence
Since its launch in 2014, IIID Showcase Insider X has evolved into one of India’s most influential design platforms. Previous editions have explored themes ranging from urban transformation and Telangana’s artistic heritage to sustainable materials and design intelligence.
The 2026 edition continues this journey by bringing together innovation, creativity, technology, sustainability, and collaboration under one roof.
Established in 1996, the Hyderabad Regional Chapter of the Indian Institute of Interior Designers has grown into one of India’s most active design communities, with more than 450 members. Through workshops, seminars, technical sessions, heritage walks, factory visits, fellowship meets, and design awards, IIID-HRC continues to support professional growth and advance design excellence across the region.
