Resonia Ltd Drives Sustainability with Major Beach Clean-Up on World Environment Day

Valsad, Gujarat – June 5, 2025: In a strong show of corporate responsibility, Resonia Limited’s Khavda IV C Transmission Project commemorated World Environment Day with a large-scale beach clean-up initiative at Ubharat Beach, located 50 km from Surat. Over 100 employees came together early in the morning to clear 907 kilograms of waste, contributing directly to environmental conservation and local well-being.

Facilitated with support from the Forest Department, the initiative reflects Resonia’s dedication to ecological responsibility and community engagement. Ubharat Beach, a popular coastal retreat, suffers from mounting plastic pollution—part of a wider challenge along India’s 7,500-km coastline. The project not only helped restore the site’s natural beauty but also aimed to raise awareness about marine pollution caused by littering and over-tourism.

Kamlesh Garg, Project Director at Khavda IV C, emphasized the broader vision behind the drive:

“Sustainability is at the heart of Resonia’s mission. This cleanup allowed our team to connect with the community and put our environmental values into action.”

The initiative was organized in collaboration with the Drishti Foundation Trust, a nationally recognized NGO. Drishti provided critical support for permissions, safety measures, and efficient waste handling.
Dinesh Kumar Gautam, Founder of Drishti, added:

“Beaches are dynamic ecosystems, not just holiday spots. Efforts like these are vital to protecting coastal biodiversity and public health.”
