Rugs America and Badgley Mischka have taken their collaboration to the next level by launching a new collection of machine-washable area rugs, marking a significant innovation in the home furnishings space.
Building upon the successful partnership that began in spring 2024, the new line merges Badgley Mischka’s iconic sense of design with Rugs America’s manufacturing expertise. The washable rugs offer a stylish and practical solution for today’s modern homes, particularly appealing to families, pet owners, and consumers who prioritize both aesthetics and ease of maintenance.
Each rug is digitally printed on a plush microfiber base, offering a soft yet durable surface. Manufactured in China, the rugs are crafted for convenience—they are foldable, crease-resistant, and feature a non-slip backing that ensures stability on various floor types.
“The rugs are not zero-pile—they maintain a textured, luxurious feel that enhances the look and comfort of a room,” explained Ariel Hakimian, co-owner of Rugs America. “The collection includes popular sizes like 5×7 and 8×10, both packaged in compact boxes that simplify shipping, inventory storage, and in-store display.”
With boxed packaging, these rugs are optimized for retail flexibility, making them ideal for both traditional and pyramid-style shelf arrangements.
The initiative directly addresses a long-standing consumer concern: rug cleaning. Rugs America notes that maintaining a clean rug has been a major pain point for households. This washable innovation makes regular upkeep effortless, especially for high-traffic homes and spaces prone to messes.
Founded in 1994, Rugs America has grown into a respected rug manufacturer and importer, offering thousands of SKUs from its distribution centers in Farmingdale, New York, and High Point, North Carolina. This new collection is poised to reinforce the company’s commitment to blending fashion-forward design with everyday functionality.
