New Jacksonville and West Palm Beach locations to offer luxury interior design resources and curated home furnishings
Home furnishings brand Schumacher will expand its retail footprint in Florida with the opening of two new showrooms and design shops in Jacksonville and West Palm Beach this September. The locations will mark the company’s first physical presence in both cities.
Each showroom will provide a trade-focused experience for interior designers while also featuring a luxury retail space offering home accessories, antiques and curated décor collections. Patterson Flynn, Schumacher’s sister company specializing in floor coverings, will have a significant presence in both locations.
The expansion reflects the continued growth of Florida’s interior design market. The 3,000-square-foot Jacksonville showroom, designed by local designer Stephanie Jarvis, showcases Schumacher’s signature blend of classic American style with influences drawn from Southern traditions and Florida-inspired interiors.
Meanwhile, the 6,000-square-foot West Palm Beach showroom has been designed by Palm Beach native Celerie Kemble, a longtime Schumacher collaborator. The space incorporates decorative lighting from Visual Comfort, lacquered furniture by Dunes & Duchess, bathroom fixtures from Waterworks and Vanity & Co., tiles from Sabine Hill, and a wide selection of Patterson Flynn floor coverings, including a dedicated room for its abaca rug collection.
Customers will have access to more than 7,000 Schumacher fabrics, wallpapers and trims, alongside products from sister brands including Backdrop, Iksel Decorative Arts, Boråstapeter and Tillett Textiles. Patterson Flynn will showcase made-to-order rugs, handcrafted floor coverings and its signature abaca collection.
Beyond textiles and floor coverings, the design shops will feature antiques, decorative pillows, throws, baskets, coffee table books, artwork and handmade ceramics. The locations are also expected to host workshops, educational events, trunk shows and book signings.
Commenting on the expansion, Emily Romero, President of Schumacher North America, said Florida remains one of the country’s leading design markets, with Jacksonville and West Palm Beach each offering unique design identities. She noted that the new locations have been developed to provide tailored design resources that reflect the character of each community while showcasing the broader Schumacher family of brands.
The announcement follows Schumacher’s opening of a design shop in Charleston’s Design District in December last year.
