Laura and Will collaborated with a local carpenter to craft a custom-made kitchen featuring timeless Shaker-style cabinetry. This thoughtfully designed space includes a traditional Belfast sink, open shelving, and bead-and-butt panelled walls, creating a warm and welcoming aesthetic.
The couple’s desire for a kitchen that blends both style and longevity led them to choose classic design features. “We wanted something elegant and enduring, so we opted for a Belfast sink with aged brass bib taps and solid cabinetry with brass accents,” Laura shares. “The beauty of this setup is that we can easily repaint the cabinets in the future if we want a new look.”
Adding to the kitchen’s relaxed and lived-in atmosphere is a well-worn antique pine table, paired with a mix of vintage wooden chairs. These subtle contrasts in texture and tone lend the room a casual, collected feel, while also making it practical for daily life.
This kitchen is a perfect example of how classic craftsmanship and intentional design can result in a beautiful, functional space that stands the test of time.
