The Senator Group India’s Aura Lounge Wins 2026 HiP Award for Hospitality Seating
The Senator Group India, the Indian subsidiary of UK-headquartered The Senator Group, has announced that its Aura Lounge soft seating collection by Allermuir has won the 2026 HiP Award in the ‘Hospitality: Lounge Seating’ category.
The award was presented during the 13th edition of the HiP (Honoring Industry People & Products) Awards, hosted at The Mart, Chicago, during NeoCon 2026. The awards recognise innovation and excellence in the global commercial design industry.
Designed for Modern Hospitality Spaces
Designed by internationally renowned French designer Patrick Norguet, the Aura Lounge collection was recognised for its sculptural aesthetics, seating comfort and modular design, making it suitable for a wide range of hospitality, workplace and collaborative environments.
The collection was introduced in the Indian market in December 2025 and has since received multiple international recognitions, including the Best Soft Seating Inspire Award at BDNY and an IIDA honour.
According to Vamsidharr Setty, Managing Director, The Senator Group India, the HiP Award acknowledges the collection’s focus on refined comfort, flexibility and functionality for commercial environments such as corporate lounges, reception areas, breakout spaces, hotels, cafés and restaurants.
Modular Design Offers Flexible Configurations
Aura Lounge features a highly modular seating system with multiple configurations, including three- and four-unit layouts with back, convex and concave options. The design enables architects and interior designers to create adaptable layouts for different commercial settings.
The collection combines soft sculptural lines with a minimalist design language, creating seating that balances visual appeal with everyday functionality.
Growing Presence in India
The Senator Group India established its first showroom in Bengaluru in 2018, introducing its premium brands Senator and Allermuir to the Indian market.
While Senator focuses on technology-driven office furniture solutions, Allermuir specialises in contemporary workplace systems and premium soft seating. Through its sales and distribution network, the company has built a customer base of more than 150 organisations, delivering office furniture projects across various scales throughout India.
The latest HiP Award further strengthens The Senator Group India’s position in the commercial furniture and hospitality seating market while highlighting the growing global recognition of its design-led product portfolio.
