FAB Show 2025 Kicks Off in Mumbai, Uniting India’s Textile and Apparel Leaders

Innovation, Sustainability, and Strategic Partnerships Take Center Stage at 5th Edition of FAB Show

The 5th edition of the Fabrics, Accessories & Beyond (FAB) Show, organized by the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), commenced today at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (NESCO), Goregaon East, Mumbai, reinforcing its position as India’s premier sourcing event for the textile and apparel value chain. The inauguration witnessed participation from prominent leaders across India’s retail, apparel, and sourcing sectors, bringing together innovation, collaboration, and sustainable practices under one unified platform.

Gracing the opening ceremony as Guests of Honour were Jitendra Chauhan, Chairman & Managing Director, Jade Blue, Ahmedabad; Saurabh Sharma, Head of E-Commerce & B2B, Juniper Fashions, Jaipur; Raja Harbinder Singh, Sourcing Head, Pantaloons; Nameet Srivastava, SCM Category Head, Ethnix by Raymond; Vijay Panjwani, Chief Sourcing Manager, Kewal Kiran Clothing Ltd; Tejas Katariya, Director, Peppermint Clothing; and Sushil Singh, Raymond Lifestyle Ltd. The FAB Show 2025 is backed by the Government of Maharashtra and supported by The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SGCCI), highlighting its strong industry and government collaboration.

The Curtain Raiser was graced by Shri Sanjay Savkare, Hon’ble Minister of Textiles, Government of Maharashtra, who, in his keynote address, emphasized Maharashtra’s commitment to strengthen the textile sector by announcing plans to establish a Mega Textile Park in Mumbai in collaboration with CMAI. He underlined that this park would integrate the entire textile value chain, promote innovation, and support India’s vision of becoming a global leader in sustainable textile manufacturing.

A key feature of this year’s show is the participation of Chhattisgarh as the ‘Partner State’. The show will witness the signing of a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Chhattisgarh and CMAI to establish a Facilitation Centre in Chhattisgarh, aimed at enhancing sourcing, manufacturing, and employment opportunities. Hon’ble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, is scheduled to visit the exhibition and formally sign the MoU on April 23, 2025, strengthening government-industry collaboration.

FAB Show 2025 brings together over 250 exhibitors spread across 2,00,000 sq. ft., representing the full spectrum of fabrics, trims, accessories, and sustainable materials. The event is expected to attract over 12,000 trade visitors including sourcing heads, designers, retailers, manufacturers, and fashion professionals. Specialized pavilions such as the Surat Pavilion by SGCCI and participation from leading textile hubs like Ichalkaranji through ISFMA further enrich the exhibition profile.

Highlighting the growing global relevance of India’s textile sector, Mr. Santosh Katariya, President, CMAI, remarked, “FAB Show 2025 is more than an exhibition  it is a convergence of ideas, innovation, and sustainable progress. At a time when global sourcing dynamics are rapidly evolving, India is emerging as a strong, trusted sourcing partner, and FAB Show perfectly exemplifies this trend.”

The event also hosts heads of over 15 leading industry associations including the Tiruppur Exporters Association, Noida Apparel Export Cluster, Garment Exporters Association of Rajasthan, Bangalore Apparel Manufacturers Association, and several others, showcasing national industry solidarity.

FAB Show 2025 places a strong emphasis on sustainability and innovation, introducing a dedicated Sustainability & Circularity Pavilion with participation from over 20 eco-conscious vendors. Knowledge sessions feature prominent speakers discussing key topics such as “Transforming the Apparel Value Chain with Sustainability Standards,” “Leveraging AI in Apparel Business Transformation,” and “The Future of Circular Fashion Manufacturing.” These sessions are designed to empower attendees with insights into best practices and future-ready strategies.

The show also celebrates Earth Day, reinforcing its sustainability theme with initiatives supported by CEE (Centre for Environmental Education) and GATS (Global Association for Textile Sustainability). Notably, CMAI’s pioneering SU.RE (Sustainable Resolution) initiative continues to lead efforts towards a greener apparel future, mobilizing major brands and manufacturers under a unified sustainability commitment.

Speaking on the occasion, Naveen Sainani, Hon. Gen Secretary & Chairman of the FAB Show at CMAI, said, “This year’s FAB Show is curated around the critical need for sustainability and circularity in the fashion and textile industry. Our focus is to inspire transformative change through collaboration, innovation, and responsible practices.”

Prominent CMAI dignitaries including Rahul Mehta, Chief Mentor; Paresh Vora, Hon. Treasurer; Mukesh Jain, Hon. Jt Gen Secretary; Dinesh Nandu, Hon. Jt Treasurer; and other key committee members were present during the grand inauguration.
