Heimtextil 2027 will present new textile trends, sourcing opportunities and functional interior solutions from 12 to 15 January 2027 in Frankfurt, Germany. The event expects around 2,900 exhibitors and will introduce new areas for carpets, rugs, bedding and interior materials.

The trade fair will cover the textile value chain, from fibres and yarns to finished products and interior design. It aims to help buyers find reliable suppliers as businesses face rising demands for quality, durability and functionality.

Heimtextil 2027 Introduces New Textile Trends

The Heimtextil Trends 27/28 will explore the theme “Home-Maxxing – The Performance of Everyday Living.” Developed with Milan-based design platform Alcova, the trends focus on practical design, material performance and tactile surfaces.

The three approaches are Staged Competence, Inside, Out and Hyper Presence. They highlight technical details, visible construction and the natural character of materials.

Architect and designer Patricia Urquiola will also contribute new and existing work to the trend presentation.

New Areas for Carpets, Bedding and Interiors

Heimtextil 2027 will introduce Carpets & Rugs Excellence in Hall 11.0. An independent expert jury selected manufacturers based on product quality, workmanship and production expertise.

The new Comfort & Connect area in Hall 5.1 will bring together bed and bath textiles, cushions and home accessories. Meanwhile, Smart Bedding will expand its range of mattress manufacturers and sleep-system suppliers.

The fair will also feature Functional Futures Lab in Hall 4.1. Developed with Future Fabrics Expo, the area will present materials and design solutions for hotels, offices, healthcare and retail spaces.

Global Sourcing and Textile Design

The Global Home segment will connect buyers with manufacturers, private-label suppliers and country pavilions. Exhibitors will present bed, bath, kitchen, window and decorative textiles across several halls.

In Hall 4.2, international studios and emerging designers will showcase patterns, colours and concepts for home and contract textiles. The New Talent Area will feature more than 30 confirmed designers.

Heimtextil 2027 will bring together textile sourcing, design development and functional material solutions for buyers, manufacturers and interior professionals.
